Scope

This policy describes how Rerit handles information across the desktop application, website, account workspace, support, and billing flows.

Rewrite content

When you press the shortcut, Rerit sends the selected text over an encrypted connection for processing. The selected text is not retained by Rerit as document history after the request completes.

• No text is sent until you invoke a rewrite.
• Only the active selection is included.
• Usage counts do not contain the rewritten sentences.

Account information

We retain the information required to operate an account and enforce plan limits.

• Name and email used for authentication.
• Subscription status and billing references.
• Rewrite counts and timestamps.
• Connected-device identifiers and last-used timestamps.

Technical information

We may process app version, operating-system information, request diagnostics, and error details needed to maintain compatibility and investigate failures. Support messages include only what you choose to send.

How information is used

Account and technical data is used to authenticate users, deliver rewrites, enforce daily limits, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, provide support, and improve reliability.

Service providers

Rerit uses service providers for hosting, authentication, AI processing, payments, email delivery, and operational analytics. Providers receive only the information needed for their role and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Retention and deletion

Rewrite content is request-scoped. Account, subscription, device, and usage records remain while needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. You may request account deletion through the contact page.

Security

Rerit uses encrypted transport, access controls, scoped credentials, and data minimization. No system can promise absolute security; suspected issues should be reported through the security or contact page.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information, subject to identity verification and applicable law. You can revoke a connected desktop device from the account workspace.
