By accessing or using Rerit ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Rerit is a writing assistance software that helps improve your text through AI-powered rewrites and suggestions. The Service operates locally on your device to ensure privacy and works across various applications on your computer.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You may not share your account credentials with others
• You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent service limits
• You may delete your account at any time through the app settings

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Rerit only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to use the Service:

• To violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
• To generate harmful, abusive, or discriminatory content
• To spam, harass, or harm other users
• To attempt to reverse engineer or hack the software
• To use the Service for commercial purposes without permission
• To distribute malware or engage in fraudulent activities
• To violate the intellectual property rights of others

5. Subscription and Billing

Free Plan

• Includes 5 rewrites per month at no cost
• No credit card required for the free plan
• Subject to fair usage policies

Pro Subscription

• Billed monthly at $9/month
• Includes unlimited rewrites and premium features
• Automatically renews unless cancelled
• Can be cancelled at any time

Billing Terms

• Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis
• Payment is due immediately upon subscription
• No refunds for partial billing periods
• Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

6. Cancellation and Termination

Your Right to Cancel

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• You retain access to Pro features until the end of the paid period
• Your account reverts to the free plan after cancellation

Our Right to Terminate

We may terminate or suspend your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Abuse the Service or other users
• Fail to pay subscription fees

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content

• You retain all rights to your original content
• Rerit does not claim ownership of your writing
• You grant us permission to process your text locally for the Service
• Your content is not stored or transmitted to our servers

Our Content

• Rerit software, algorithms, and AI models are our intellectual property
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software
• You receive a limited license to use the Service as intended
• This license terminates when you stop using the Service

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

Service Availability

• We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
• Maintenance and updates may temporarily affect availability
• We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our control

AI Accuracy

• AI suggestions are not guaranteed to be perfect or error-free
• Users should review and verify all AI-generated content
• We are not responsible for errors in AI-generated suggestions
• Final responsibility for content accuracy lies with the user

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rerit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your information.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by:

• Posting updated Terms on our website
• Sending email notifications to registered users
• Displaying notices in the Rerit application

Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of California.
